Larry Fessenden, director of 1997's well-received vampire feature THE HABIT, helms this strange flick about a scientist and his girlfriend who decide to move out to the country to escape the pressures of big-city life. However, the scientist uses the ruralness of his new home to start performing bizarre experiments in his barn while his significant other flirts with a local ecologist. Becoming increasingly frustrated with his sponsor company's reluctance to send him live specimens to mutilate, our scientist enterprisingly starts capturing his own, and then gradually gets even crazier
