A film about objects, events, simultaneity and spaces. 'Glass Factory' explores the simultaneity of time, dealing with the events that take place, and the multiple spaces that coexist, independently of individual experience. Ignored, forgotten or unknown spaces, and the objects they contain, continue to occupy their own place in time and space even though our attentions may be elsewhere. The film returns our attention to these spaces, quotidian and exotic, inhabited or abandoned, to dwell on the materiality of the objects that inhabit them. In its exploration of simultaneity, the film carves out a piece of time for each object and space it examines, offering duration as a means by which we may 'taste' time itself.
