Reporter Ramita Navai and director Clancy Chassay travel across America, from Chicago to Los Angeles via Nashville, meeting middle-class people who have become homeless as a result of the financial crisis. They discover an increasing number of families that are struggling to hold down low-paid jobs, and receive little government assistance, forcing them to live in cars or one of the burgeoning 'tent cities'
