A young Taiwanese civil servant is supposed to write a manual about mainland customs. After ten revisions, his boss gives him an ultimatum, get it right or get a new job. That not he runs into a young mainland woman at the dumpling shop and makes a deal. He will help her find her grandmother�s first love and she will help him finish the manual. Their search probes the meaning of love, growing old and the cultural differences between Taiwanese and mainlanders.
