The Wind in the Willows: Badger suggests to his friends that they should gather in as much of the autumn fruits and vegetables as possible, in preparation for the approaching winter. They set out together on an early morning harvest expedition, but are constantly held up by Toad's antics. Toad even convinces himself that he is dying after eating some supposedly poisonous fruit, until Rat discovers that what Toad ate were merely elderberries. Unfortunately the weasels want a share in the harvest too, and the whole thing might have ended in disaster if Toad hadn't stopped for a nap beside the weasels' hiding place...
