Little House on the Prairie: Laura and her friend Andy Garvey come across an injured female wolf and her pups, and rather than leave them all alone in the middle of nowhere, they bring them all back to the Garveys' place. Jonathan is reluctant about letting his son keep the animals, but in light of the mother's injuries, he allows them to stay in the barn while Doc Baker nurses her back to health. Unfortunately, there have been stories around town that people's livestock have been found dead, and now that this mother wolf and her pups are in Walnut Grove, it may not be long before others start to follow. Meanwhile, Charles and Caroline leave on a trip and leave Mary in charge of the younger kids, but the ultra-responsible teenager is in for the challenge of her life when she must single-handedly protect her sisters and Andy from serious danger.
