Black Gold: Three teams of roughnecks head out to the west Texas oil fields and see who can strike oil first. The Longhorn crew works with a 63 year-old rig, that has just recently come out of retirement; the Viking crew works with a brand-new, eight million dollar, state-of-the-art rig; and the Big Dog crew works with a rig that has 25 percent more horsepower than the other two rigs. The Viking crew faces mechanical problems on their rig; and one of the drillers gets fired, not even a week into the competition.
