Fear Factor UK: This episode featured four duos (two pairs of best friends, a set of twins, and a dating couple) competing as teams in Las Vegas. The winning team would have to bet half their winnings on a hand of blackjack. Stunt #1 (Inverted fall and car flip) One team member would be handcuffed and hung by their ankles 120 feet in the air while their partner waited in a car on the ground. The person hanging by their ankles would have to unlock the handcuffs and pull a rip cord. When the rip cord was pulled, the person would drop to the ground head-first and a pipe ramp would be lit on fire. When the ramp was lit, the person in the car would have to have to hit the ramp and flip the car into a wall of road-block barrels. The three teams to complete this stunt the fastest would advance to the next round. The slowest team would be eliminated. Stunt #2 (Fear Factor cocktails) Contestants would be playing poker Fear Factor style at the Excalibur. In order get cards, each player would have to drink cocktails made with disgusting food items. These included Spider Cider, consisting of Egyptian spiders, red worms, and super worms; The Cow's Blood Bloody Mary; The Scorpion Martini consisting of blended scorpions and topped with a large dead scorpion; The Fish-Eye Mai Tai consisting red snapper fish eyes and eggs; The Rattlesnake Shooter, a shot consisting of blended habanero peppers and rattlesnake liver; and The Banana Slug Daiquiri, consisting of blended and whole banana slugs. Each player who finished their Fear Factor cocktail within the time limit would win a card for their team. Once everyone had their cards, each team's cards would be combined with a community hand. The team that got the best five-card poker hand after combining their cards with the community cards would win $25,000 and a trip to Los Angeles to see the world premiere of The Amityville Horror. No one would be eliminated in this stunt. Stunt #3 (Tightrope transfer) Both team members would have to cross parallel cable tightropes stretching between two wings of the Mandalay Bay Hotel, forty stories above the Las Vegas strip. They would be holding on to hanging ropes for support. Clipped to each of these hanging ropes was a flag attached to a weighted ball. As the players crossed the cables, they would have to detach these flags and toss them to their partner. There were nine flags in all (four for one cable, five for the other cable). The team to transfer the most flags in the fastest time would be this season's Las Vegas Fear Factor champions and win $50,000. They would then have to bet half of their total winnings on a hand of blackjack.
