Mystery Diagnosis: Jessica Blaszczak has been in perfect health, until she starts feeling unusually fatigued. She starts getting chills, spiking fevers, headaches, night sweats, nausea, muscle aches, and general weakness. Doctors believe Jessica simply has a minor infection, but one doctor discovers that she has a life-threatening infection of the heart called endocarditis from sepsis. A young man named Jake Tate has recently started a military training program, when suddenly, he discovers a small lump on his abdomen. At first, Jake thinks it's simply from stress, but over time, he develops painful fatty lumps called lipomas all over his body that become less severe during warmer climates. He eventually finds out that he has Dercum's disease.
