The Tribe: Alice is mad at Salene, May and Patsy for going through with the Chosen novice meetings. Salene claims she is still pretending, while it seems as if the power has gotten to May's head. The Gaians, Bray and Dal come to a secret place where they talk about their moves against the Chosen. Pride is sent out on a search, while Bray starts having doubts about Amber's and Pride's friendship. Lex and Ebony witness their friends being taken to work. Ebony tells Lex that she plans to poison the Guardian. The Guardian uses the death of Patsy's parents as a lead-in for a terrible story. Bray convinces Amber to stay behind during their attack at the Mall. Alice and Ellie are worried when it seems as if Salene has started to crack under the pressure. Cloe volunteers to become a spy. Bray questions Pride about his relationship with Amber. Salene observes as the Guardian spies on Tai-San. Ebony comes from behind him and threatens him with a poisoned dagger, but the Guardian takes control until he finds himself in the exact same situation, but this time Lex is holding the poison. Just as Ebony urges Lex to kill the Guardian, Salene lets out a scream upon seeing Bray and the Gaians in the Mall.
